Louisa Slappey is a seasoned entrepreneur and dedicated labor advocate with over a decade of experience in building bridges between employees and employers. At 21, she launched a small business, showcasing her entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to community. After eight successful years, she transitioned to Washington, D.C., to pursue a career with International Brotherhood of Teamsters.

During her six years with the Teamsters, Louisa excelled at fostering collaboration and enhancing communication between workers and management. This hands-on experience laid the groundwork for her subsequent role at the AFL-CIO Technology Institute, where she continues to champion innovative solutions to support the labor movement.
