Cindy Wiseman

Cindy Wiseman is the Communications & Events Manager for the AFL-CIO Tech Institute.  She is a seasoned professional with a background in translation, event management and executive support.  With experience at organizations such as the National Association of City and County Health Officials (NACCHO), the Consumer Technology Association (CTA®) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Cindy has honed her abilities in managing executive-level functions, organizing major events, and fostering collaboration.   Before working for the Tech Institute, she was instrumental in strategic partnership development for high-impact alliances with NACCHO.  Her tenure at CTA® also included 10+ years as a Press Room Operations Manager for CES, hosting more than 4,000 members of the press.  Her fluency in Spanish was a valuable asset during Hurricane Ian and Hurricane Fiona in 2022, where she provided translation services on a diverse range of documents for FEMA’s Individual Assistance program which served over 740,000 applicants in Puerto Rico.
